And now for something completely
different...
Greetings great ones,
I must have rewritten this outgoing message a half dozen times, unsure of whether to say what I truly felt or to keep it all a bit more casual and in the end I decided on a mixture of both hoping that it ends up being the most honest representation of what's going on.
There's been some bullshit (there always is) including a misread contract which left me to rearrange the entire issue in a little under two weeks, some wacky designers who either don't understand that I'm both on a deadline and not trying to go into debt simply to shoot something of theirs or delight in making others mildly misanthropic and the usual madcap mix of flakes and frenzied writing. I'll warn you now, what's here is here and well what isn't here didn't get done-better luck next issue my icons and iconoclasts-at least I'm keeping it classy and warning you now...
There have been some shining moments (these I dig): amazing models (the gorgeous Rog and Bee who are gracing every bit of this issue), a fab photog ( Katja you're brilliant), Jamison my awesome contact at Altru (those are all of the wicked cool tees the models are rocking) and the realization that necessity is indeed the mother of all invention. Bonus if you break a cd, the resulting bits look sort of like confetti.
I read this great quote once which ended with something along the lines of us only saving the things we love...re-evaluating that hardcore right now...
In whimsy & turmoil,
Charli
